District 9 has been nominated for a Golden Globe for best screenplay.While the film has some great special effects & CGI (which have nothing to do with the script) of enormous UFOs and 9 feet tall extraterrestrials living on earth, the story has several moments when it is blatantly ripping off many popular UFO films.
What do you think?
Definitely not Oscar-worthy; unless it's for the CGI.
